Puncture
This just in from the real world (the world of evidence, not imagination): Imagining success will not get you there. New York's University Motivation Lab reports from tests that a healthy dose of skepticism and a realistic outlook will do more to energize people than a rosy image of a successful outcome. "...Those that question whether an ideal future can be achieved, and that depict obstacles, problems, and setbacks, find it more beneficial for mustering the energy needed to attain actual success." So much for positive self-talk. Good luck to unemployed self-help gurus.
